MOL Charitable Trust selected projects for funding

At a ceremony held in Mahebourg, Mauritius on Friday, December 10, 2021, the MOL Charitable Trust (the Fund), which was established in Mauritius in June 2021, announced its intent to fund 26 projects(*) led by NGOs and other local organizations, selected among applicants for the first call for grant applications. The Fund also exchanged Memorandums of Understanding with each organization.

Applications for more than 100 projects were received in the first call. All were high-quality projects, making the selection process extremely difficult. In the end, the Fund decided to fund 26 projects, more than initially planned.

The Fund plans to provide up to 1 million Mauritian rupee per subsidized project for a duration of 12 months, and the Fund’s Enforcers Committee based in Mauritius will regularly support the projects.

MOL will continue to support activities that contribute to restoring and protecting the natural environment of Mauritius and contributing to the nation and its people through the Fund.
