Concord, CA - September 11, 2006 - Improved reliability and increased customer satisfaction on the East Coasts of North and South America, come together in MOL's new Americas Express Link (AXL) Service.
Seeking to deliver customers an unsurpassed product for their high value and time sensitive cargoes, MOL, in cooperation with its partners, has combined the best aspects of its existing ALE and AXE services to deliver a new product offering increased service quality to Brazilian shippers. MOL's new Americas Express Link (AXL) Service features competitive transit times, comprehensive ports coverage, and sufficient schedule buffers to maintain timely cargo delivery.
The first sailing of the AXL Service will be with the departure of the Nedlloyd Clarence from Newark on October 25. Ports of call in order of rotation will be:
Newark - Philadelphia - Charleston - Port Everglades - Santos - Rio Grande - Itajai - Santos - Salvador - Suape - Kingston - Newark
The final voyages of MOL's current ALE and AXE Services will be as follows:
ALE - Maersk Nara
Southbound: Last port call at Miami - ETA September 25.
Northbound: Last port call at Paranagua - ETA October 13.
AXE - Maersk Nanhai
Southbound: Last port call at Newark - ETA October 19.
Northbound: Last port call at Montevideo - ETA November 9.
