The New World Alliance Announces Winter Service Profile

November 15, 2006

The member lines of The New World Alliance (TNWA) - APL, Hyundai Merchant Marine Co., Ltd (HMM), and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd (MOL) - have announced their winter season service profile.

From November through April 2007, the TNWA will suspend capacity amounting to about 4,000 TEU per week and adjust services to meet decreased trade demand anticipated during the annual slack shipping season.

This temporary capacity adjustment reflects the TNWA carriers' ongoing commitment to maximize efficient asset utilization and to manage increasing costs, while maintaining best-in-class service levels for their customers.

The service adjustment will also enable members to conduct routine maintenance and repairs to their vessels.
