MOL to Upgrade Containership Service between Vietnam and Japan

TOKYO - Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL, President: Akimitsu Ashida) today announced the opening of a new route called JTV that will provide direct links between Ho Chi Minh City and major ports in Japan. The move is part of MOL's plans to enhance containerized service in the booming intra-Asia cargo trade.

The new JTV service will be operated through a space charter with Hong Kong-based Orient Overseas Container Line Limited (OOCL). Along with our CBC service, MOL will offer two weekly direct services from Ho Chi Minh City in southern Vietnam to Japan, as well as connections to Osaka and Kobe.
