The main purpose of the conference, which was first held in 2007, is to explain MOL safety programs and future measures for seafarers, to reinforce these programs, and to exchange opinions.

Conference participants totaled about 170(*), including top officials responsible for safe operation, MOL Executive Officer for Safe Operation Soichi Hiratsuka. In late March, the company plans to hold the same conference in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, another important center for marine human resources, on a par with nations in Asia.

*About 50 people attended the event in India (held on January 31), and 120 were on hand for the conference in the Philippines (February 4).

MOL Group management and employees are united to execute and verify safety measures while holding ongoing dialogues with seafarers at regular intervals.
