MOL Announces Start of Japan/Far East-New Zealand Service with Consortium

TOKYO - Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL, President: Akimitsu Ashida) today announced the formation of a new consortium with COSCO Container Lines (COSCON), Hamburg Sued, and Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK), and will start a liner service linking Japan and the Far East with New Zealand in August. The new service will meet increasing demand for container shipping linking Tokyo, China, and New Zealand, and provide higher quality services.
