Update (3) - MOL Pledges to Support Relief Efforts for
Typhoon Afflicted People in the Philippines

TOKYO - Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL; President: Koichi Muto) today announced that MOL executives and employees have organized a charity donation program within the MOL Group of companies. MOL expresses its heartfelt sympathy to afflicted people.

The company has already made a monetary donation of US$30,000 to emergency relief efforts and decided to provide free transport of relief supplies by containerships to the central Philippines devastated by the recent typhoon.

The main portion of MOL's donation will go to afflicted people on the island of Leyte, through its group company Magsaysay MOL Marine, Inc.(*1) The company is planning other relief efforts as the situation unfolds.

The MOL Group hopes afflicted people will be able to return to normal life as soon as possible, and pledges a range of ongoing measures to support relief efforts.
