Officials from The National Hydro-Meteorological Service of Vietnam Visit MOL's Safety Operation Supporting Center

TOKYO-Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL; President&CEO: Junichiro Ikeda) welcomed five visitors from The National Hydro-Meteorological Service of Vietnam (NHMS), and hosted a tour of the company's innovative Safety Operation Supporting Center (SOSC). The NHMS is a national institute responsible for weather forecasting and supports Vietnam's weather-related business activities.

During the tour, MOL personnel explained how the center provides weather information to MOL-operated vessels at sea as well as its land-based operations. The visitors were eager to know about the type of weather information the SOSC provides for vessels and the information the center receives from vessels.

MOL Group, as a multi-modal transport group with a global network, continues to promote such international activities in a proactive manner and enhance the group's safe operation through the effective usage of weather information.
