TOKYO-Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL; President & CEO: Junichiro Ikeda) today announced that from June 13 to 16, it exhibited at the Japan-China Green Expo 2017, a major trade fair in China showcasing Japanese environmental technologies, products and services.

The environment is one of the group-wide priorities for strengthening the MOL Group in its new management plan, "Rolling Plan 2017". Under the expo's environmental theme, MOL introduced a broad range of its green technologies such as a hybrid vessel with a solar power generation system, hull design to boost vessel fuel efficiency by reducing wind resistance, and the use of larger-size vessels to cut CO2 emissions.

MOL positions its newly launched "Environment and Emission-free Businesses" in 2017 as the pillar of the next generation, and will promote and expand those fields, striving to reduce the environmental impact of ocean shipping, its core business.
