Tohoku - Pacific Ocean Earthquake

We wish to convey our deepest sympathies to the victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami. We sincerely hope that the afflicted area can realize the earliest recovery.

The MOL Group has promoted activities to support the rescue of victims and reconstruction of quake-stricken areas. Its main activities are as follows:

•Donation of relief money
    1. MOL donated ¥50 million to help support the victims of the earthquake and the subsequent tsunami.
    2. In addition, we have donated some ¥55 million to the Japanese Red Cross and Central Community Chest of Japan for relief efforts. MOL raised the donation among MOL Group executives and employees through a group-wide effort, in which many of them participated. (Please click here for details.)

The transport project was accomplished with four ferries, which made eight trips in total. (Please click here for details.)

After that, the company provided two additional trips, transporting a total of about 3,700 personnel and 1,260 vehicles with 10 trips.

•Providing MOL containerships to transport aid supplies from overseas
