MAGMOL Shouts Out and Says Loud: "We Can!"

"Less is more" - this is what the newest billboard of Magsaysay Mitsui O.S.K. Marine (MagMOL) has proved. Unveiled in March of this year, near Ninoy Aquino International Airport, the third and newest MagMOL billboard surely gives a lift to anyone who sees it.

The billboard sums up everything in only two words: "We Can!" and reflects the company's belief that despite the financial turmoil affecting the global economy, we will stand firmly together in optimism and confidence.

Inspired by the slogan from MOL President Akimitsui Ashida, MagMOL is positive that we can do, we can act, and we can be better even in times when difficult waves rage at the present world economy, including the shipping industry.

Having said this, starting with a can-do-spirit plus optimism plus loyalty and faith will help us cope with a difficult business environment and achieve greater heights as the premier home for Filipino seafarers. With solidarity and cooperation, MagMOL will be firmly believing, and shouting out loud: We Can!

MAGMOL Family Day: Truly a Blast!
Bacolod crew members shout, "WE CAN!"
Crew and families sing in unison, "If we hold on together..."
We celebrated MAGMOL Family Day in different cities - Iloilo (April 4), Bacolod (April 5), Laoag City and Ilocos Norte (April 25), and Cebu City (May 2). The whole program is meant for the seafarers and their families to get together as a big MAGMOL family to enjoy, bond and mingle with each other.

We were honored to have MOL Executive Officer Captain Masaaki Nemoto as our guest. Our Crew Loyalty Awardees were in the limelight as they received a token of gratitude.

Stationery Donated to Sambag Elementary School
As part of our CSR program, headed by Captain Masaaki Nemoto, Captain Ponnapa, Master of the Spirit of MOL, and MAGMOL executives, staff, crew, and family members distributed school bags with notebooks and pencils to students at Sambag Elementary School in Iloilo City. The school was severely damaged when Typhoon Frank struck the province in June 2008.

It was really heartwarming to give and to help others.

Spirit of MOL Opens to Crew and Family Members
People say stories are good to hear but even better when seen and touched. This was how MAGMOL crew members and their families felt when the Spirit of MOL, our training vessel, allowed them to come aboard for a tour on April 6 in Bacolod City.

The officers, crew and, cadets were very accommodating to everyone. It was interesting and thrilling to experience the ship in person.
