As of April 18, we’re happy to have the port of Gothenburg included on the new LP3 service. Local meetings held with G6 members, terminal staff, and our experienced vessel planners made this new service work smoothly from the start.
The demand from customers has been high and space filled well above expectations on the outbound voyage. We also anticipate higher import volumes in the near future.
On June 17, the first MOL vessel, the MOL Creation, arrived and some of the Gothenburg staff was there to welcome it. Captain R. Ganesh Krishna Prasad and his crew welcomed us aboard for a complete tour and demonstration, and then invited us to stay for lunch.

MOLEP Genoa Office Celebrates 5th Anniversary
Taking advantage of a visit to Genoa by MOLEP CEO Naotoshi Omoto and GM Region South Gilles Duponchel on June 11-12 for the Management Meeting, the MOLEP Genoa office celebrated its fifth anniversary.
We toasted with white Italian wine from Collio, the hills surrounding Trieste, which was also an appropriate way to wish good fortune for the new UAM service calling at Trieste, and took some great snapshots of the event.

MOL (Europe) and the UEFA European Football Championships 2012
The UEFA European Football Championship is the main football competition of the men’s national football teams governed by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). This competition has been held every four years since 1960 and is normally referred to as “Euro 2012” or whichever year is appropriate.
All teams other than the host nations (which qualify automatically) compete in a qualifying round to see who will take part in the tournament. The 14 European Championship tournaments have been won by nine different national teams: Germany and Spain each have three titles, France has two, and the Soviet Union, Italy, Czechoslovakia, the Netherlands, Denmark, and Greece have one each.
The championship this year, which was co-hosted by Poland and Ukraine, was won by Spain, who beat Italy 4–0 at the final in Kiev. Spain also won the title in 2008, and this year’s victory makes it the only side in history to have earned two consecutive UEFA championships.
Naturally the four European regions of MOL (Europe) B.V. had to support the countries they cover and each region had its own individual way of supporting and celebrating.
Region West staged a competition to see which department could decorate its office the best. All departments entered and Operations Team won (See photo). Toshiya Konishi was visiting MOLEP at the time and along with MOLEP CEO Omoto and Jochen Veldmann was very impressed by the decorations.
The Hamburg Office of Region Centre celebrated with a “floating” barbecue — a floating platform on one of the many beautiful canals running through Hamburg. Seventy MOL personnel were presented with football accessories, enjoyed a delicious barbecue, made full use of the two foosball tables that were provided and watched the Germany vs. Holland match on a big screen provided for the occasion. The party went on till very late (or very early) as Germany won!
