MOL India Reaches out
As a good corporate citizen, MOL works assertively to address social issues and contributes to sustainable growth in the countries and communities where it does business. MOL India’s 10-year anniversary celebration would be incomplete without adding a social touch to it. MOL India members felt it was necessary to give back to our society, the very place where we and our children live, from what we have received as a company during these 10 years. The various teams came together and formed three groups who adopted different social issues to work on. Each team was allotted a budget with which they could build their own strategy to ensure maximum outreach to the underprivileged around us.
The teams Ocean 13 and Spirit of MOL visited the Vatsalya Foundation, which supports street children in Mumbai. Teams Dashing Eagles and Fusion visited Cheshire Home, a facility for the physically impaired. The teams MOL Strikers, MOL Masterminds, and Kolaveri visited The Society of the Home for the Aged — a foundation that takes care of the old and the sick.
The teams headed by their respective captains did a marvelous job and demonstrated teamwork and our spirit of service.

MOL India — Kolkata Organizes Photo Contest
Report by Subrata Chowdhury, MOL Kolkata
To commemorate MOL India’s 10th anniversary there were series of functions and contests held over past four months, the last being a photography contest. The theme was “Street Life of Kolkata,” showcasing the the various shades of life in the city. There are books on the street food of Kolkata and the famous gothic structures of the old city. We recall the world-famous productions, including BBC videos, reports, and photo journals on city life of Kolkata from time to time. So each team of five members had to pick their choice of faces and characters from the streets of Kolkata Street and capture them with a photo and a suitable quote. It really showed various shades of Kolkata life ranging from folks to fire. Various chores of life were presented through these pictures in brilliant way and again MOL-ites at Kolkata proved that they have imagination that goes beyond the workplace. The contest was judged by Anjan Paul of the MOL IT Kolkata office, and the winner of this round of competition was the Freaky Five headed by Moniza Farooque. The first runner-up was the Cool Champs led by Monmohan Koner and Team Mighty Five headed by Darpan Das finished third.
