TP Trade and FMC Awareness Training at MOLIPS Mumbai
Report by Sanjeet Varvatkar, Senior Executive — TP Audit
The Trans Pacific Audit team conducted the Trans Pacific Policy and FMC Awareness Training Program with MOL West Asia Offices at the MOL-IPS Mumbai Office in February 2012. In a first of its kind event at MOL India, the world became a little smaller with the attendance of executives from four countries, namely Kenya, Tanzania, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.
The intensive training module spanned a period of two days. Along with quality training sessions there was also an exchange of interesting ideas and regional perspectives, which enhanced the overall understanding of the process. The response to this program was very positive to say the least with all the participants returning home with a clear understanding of the training agenda and the experience of pleasant Indian hospitality.
The success of this program has strengthened the Asia Audit initiative to develop a world-class MOL Knowledge Center to deliver high-quality trade and process training on a global liner level.

Report by Hyderabad Event Committee
Indian Premier League (IPL) fever had just begun. While it was grabbing the attention of millions, the MOL Official league was topic of the hour at MOL-IPS, Hyderabad. The announcements were made for the MOL Official League to be held on March 31, marking the sixth anniversary of MOL-IPS, Hyderabad.
Unlike the IPL, MOL-IPS, Hyderabad had its own version of the gala event. Franchise owners were selected and teams were formed. Live auctions hit the floor for 59 members with the longest tenures while the whole house was busy planning the strategies for the forthcoming league.
“Franchise owners” refers to owners of the respective teams (clubs) like in football, where you have different club like Barcelona, Manchester United…and so on, with club owners.
Many events were wrapped up in the MOL Official League and were unfolded in due course. With the announcement of each of competition’s result, the scoreboards were updated immediately to keep the teams on their toes. The whole company seemed to be embellished with colors, lights, banners, designs, music, and celebrations. A workplace anyone would covet!
Early on the sunny Saturday of March 31, at the exotic Lahari Resorts, Hyderabad, we were gearing up to create history. The day started with a cricket match followed by mesmerizing dance performances in the evening. Melodious voices resonated through the entire resort, enough to pull everyone on the dance floor and thus began the fun....
Just like a mist, the entire floor was soon shrouded with MOLIP-ians and MOL-ites from India and worldwide. We lived for the moment with enthralling energy, entertaining moves, and captivating music.

MOL-IPS Mumbai, Cricket Fiesta Is a Wild Encounter
Report by Pramod Pandit, Senior Manager — Tariff Publishing (Mumbai)
The event committee team “Sparkle” at MOLIPS-Mumbai seeks to bring fun and excitement to the work environment and rejuvenate our employees. Recently, they yet again astonished everyone by announcing a Cricket Fiesta in April.
The event was declared in a grand fashion with some superlative and animated team names. Eight teams were formed and everyone looked charged up from the start. The cricket quizzes and email teasers kept the enthusiasm high throughout the week and the daily IPL matches broadcasted only boosted the spirits. Everyone was eagerly waiting for their turn to play for the orange and purple caps in “MPL-2012,” as the event was branded.
The day began at 8 on Saturday morning. The fresh breeze witnessed the zeal among the players and almost the entire MOL-IPS crowd turned up to support their favorite teams. Amidst the vibrant music and applause, the cricket battle commenced between the teams who lived up to their wild names and displayed some supreme characteristics.
The Panthers with their strong arms were seen leaping for the ball on the field; the Sharks ripped apart the strong waves of opponent’s bowling attack; the Cobras camouflaged their aggression and intelligence to surprise the charging Rhinos who looked rock-solid in their defense; the hard-hitting Bulls demonstrated their energy and strength to dominate the game; the Hawks perched, waiting to dart down for the kill and the Tuskers crushing all obstacles in their path showed their extreme determination to win. While all the teams distinguished themselves with their unmatched skills and ability, it was the Tigers who emerged as the ultimate predators in the finals and pounced on the winning trophy and title. The spectators witnessed a superb event of cricket and an exhibition of sheer passion from the employees.
MOL-IPS as an organization is really proud to have such talent on board, who are truly passionate about their work and show the same enthusiasm to emerge as winners in all aspects of life.
Kudos to the Sparkles team for yet another successful event!

| Yellow was the key color for the Mango Festival. |
“Mangos — the King of Fruit” are the national fruit of India and sometimes called the “Food of God.” Today, India is the world’s largest mango producer, growing nearly 1,000 varieties.
The gods were pleased to share the mango with MOLIPS -India in the form of “Mango Festival — Birthday Celebration.”
The celebration started on a high note as many of our employees dressed in yellow for this special occasion. Mark Naronha was the master of ceremonies on this special day. The vibrant celebration was held not only in the daytime but also at night so that everyone could participate in it.
There was even a birthday cake with the “hedgehog” style mango on it. Adding to the evening bites, mango ice cream was served, a wonderful dessert and a great way to keep the heat at bay while putting a smile on everyone’s face. The mango is not only the “King of Fruit,” on this day it was also the “King of Good Times.”
