MOL Joins Korea-Vietnam Service


TOKYO -- Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) today announces that it will start offering Korea-Vietnam service through a space-charter agreement with Heunga-A Shipping Co., Ltd. (Heung-A Seoul). The move, aimed at meeting increasing customer demand for the Korea-Vietnam trade, will take effect in late April.

The service will use three 1,000 TEU size container ships, calling at Pusan (Wed/Thu), Hochiminh (Wed/Thu), Bangkok(Sat/Sun), and Laem Chabang(Sun/Sun).
The new service will start with Merian which sails from Pusan on April 25.

Along with the current MOL's operating direct service from Korea to Thailand and other service network, MOL will be able to offer customers the fastest and the highest quality service linking Korea and Intra-Asia. MOL will grade up the Intra-Asia service to increase efficiency and meet growing demands in these trades.
