MOL (China) Opens Shijiazhuang Representative
Office
TOKYO-Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL; President:
Akimitsu Ashida) today announced that its
wholly owned subsidiary, Shanghai-based MOL
(China) Co., Ltd., has opened a representative
office in Shijiazhuang Hebei Province. The
new office will start operations on September
10, promoting MOL services to customers,
gathering information, and conducting liaison
activities.
MOL (China) has aggressively promoted expansion
and reinforcement of its independent network
in China, as part of a three-year plan launched
in 2003.
Shijiazhuang is the capital of Hebei Province
and has a population of about 9 million.
Hebei Province is on the outskirts of Beijing
and Tianjin, and is home to the port of Xingang,
which exports and imports a range of industrial
and agricultural products.
MOL (China) representatives from Tianjin
have paid frequent sales visits to Shijiazhuang,
Hebei Province's trading hub. The establishment
of an office in the city reflects its growing
trade volume and the MOL Group's commitment
to fine-tuned customer service.
