TOKYO - Mitsui O.S.K. Lines Ltd. (MOL, President: Akimitsu Ashida) today
announced an upgrade of the Karachi Express Service (KEX) for Pakistan.
This is a part of MOL's ongoing effort to improve inbound, outbound, and
intra-Asian container services in this rapidly growing region.
KEX service is offered through joint operation of three 850 TEU containerships (MOL operates two) with Singapore-based Samdera Shipping Line.

The container terminal at Karachi will be changed to the Qasim International
Container Terminal (QICT), which offers greater convenience.
The upgraded service from Singapore to Karachi maintains the fastest transit
time with a direct route. In particular, the Japan-Karachi service will
be the fastest and most reliable in the market thanks to connections with
MOL's unique Japan/Straits service. |
