MOL Ferry and Kyushu Kyuko Ferry to Merge

TOKYO - Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL, President: Akimitsu Ashida) today announced that MOL Ferry Co., Ltd. and Kyushu Kyuko Ferry Co., Ltd. have agreed to merge effective June 1, 2007 under the name MOL Ferry Co., Ltd., with the goal of continuing business growth.

MOL Ferry and Kyushu Kyuko Ferry offer roll-on/roll-off (RO/RO) service between Kanto and Kyushu. The merger aims to improve sales capabilities, cost competitiveness, and customer satisfaction on these routes while also contributing to the government's modal shift program.
