TOKYO-Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL; President & CEO: Junichiro Ikeda) today announced that the MR-type product tanker (Note 1), managed by its group company, MOL Tankship Management (Asia) (MOL Tank Asia; Managing Director: Toshihiko Ota; Headquarters: Singapore) was honored by U.S. oil major Chevron Corporation (Chairman & CEO: Michael K. Wirth; Headquarters: San Ramon, California, U.S.) for its long-term efforts to ensure safe operation.

Chevron Marine Assurance General Manager Don Davis presented the testimonial to MOL Tank Asia Managing Director Ota in a ceremony held at MOL Tank Asia headquarters.

The vessel served Chevron under a long-term charter contract from 2007 to 2018. MOL Tank Asia employees, both land-based and at sea, are a united team that takes a comprehensive approach to safe operation. MOL employees have built a strong cooperative relationship with Chevron and their customers. Thanks to these efforts, the vessel operated safely with no major incidents during its 11 years of service.

MOL Tank Asia remains focused on providing safe, reliable and stress-free services in transport of Chevron cargoes on the succeeding vessel.
