Following its development in Osaka and Tokyo, Daibiru, which celebrates its centennial anniversary on October 9 this year, expand into Sapporo for the first time in 2019 with the acquisition of three properties, including PIVOT shopping center, a long-time favorite of Sapporo residents. The company established the Sapporo Business Office Division (now the Sapporo Division) and has been planning projects together with the City of Sapporo and local people by proactively communicating. It planned a mixed-use redevelopment project consisting of offices, a hotel, and retail stores, by maximizing the potential of the location where business and commercial areas intermingle. Today, it announced the outline of the plan at a press conference in Sapporo.

Daibiru selected "TRUNK (HOTEL)" as a hotel to serve as a key element of the project. It is a luxury boutique hotel owned by TAKE and GIVE NEEDS Co., Ltd., one of the largest wedding companies in Japan. The company's first hotel opened in Jingumae, Tokyo, in 2017, and this project will be the first to be developed in Hokkaido. Completion of the construction of the project is scheduled for the end of January 2027 and its grand opening of the hotel will be at spring, 2027.

The MOL Group's new management plan, "BLUE ACTION 2035," established in March, positions the real property business as one of the non-shipping and stable-profit businesses that will help the group weather fluctuations in the highly volatile shipping market. Through the execution of this plan, the group will enhance the MOL Group's corporate value and contribute to the realization of its vision.
