MOL's chairman visited Mauritius

Mr. Junichiro Ikeda, the Chairman of the Board of MOL, visited Mauritius from November 9 through November 13, 2021. During his stay, he observed the wreckage of the Wakashio, still in the process of being dismantled and removed, and toured the entire area of Mahebourg, which was affected by the oil spill. In addition, he met His Excellency Prithvirajsing Roopun, President of the Republic of Mauritius, Honourable Pravind Jugnauth, Prime Minister of the Republic of Mauritius, His Excellency Eddy Boissezon, Vice President of the Republic of Mauritius, other ministers of the Republic of Mauritius and His Excellency KAWAGUCHI Shuichiro, the Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Mauritius, as well as representatives of local NGOs, organizations, companies, and the Japanese Association of Mauritius, which have been coordinating and cooperating with us, and he expressed his continuing gratitude to them.

As a part of efforts on its "Sustainability Issues (Materiality)", MOL will continue activities toward the growth of local communities and the recovery and preservation of the environment in Mauritius.
