MOL Charitable Trust Participates in the Project Review Meeting of a selected NGO

On Thursday, June 16 and Friday, June 17, 2022, a review meeting was held to discuss the project by the local NGO "Caritas Mauritius," a recipient of a grant from the MOL Charitable Trust ("the Trust") (Note), with Mr. Goro Yamashita, Managing Director of MOL (Mauritius) Ltd., who also serves as Chairman of the Trust's Enforcers Committee, in attendance.

This project aims to improve the work skills of people in socially disadvantaged situations living in Mahebourg and other parts of southeastern Mauritius. Its training programs comprise not only reading, writing, basic skills and manners required to gain employment, but also vocational training for pastry chefs and other professionals.
At this review meeting, program participants made presentations on how they joined the training program and how they make use of the knowledge they gained from the training in daily life. Then, the participants exchanged opinions about the effectiveness of the programs. The meeting wrapped up with participants singing a song called "Life Skill," which was created by the participants as a part of the programs, in Creole, a local language.

MOL and the Trust will continue to take measures for resolving various social issues in Mauritius.

(Note) Please refer to the press release dated June 21, 2021 and the post dated December 24, 2021 of this page "MOL Charitable Trust selected projects for funding" for information on the Trust and its selected grant recipients.
