MOL Charitable Trust Participates in the Completion Ceremony of a selected NGO

On Friday, August 29, 2022, a ceremony was held to mark the completion of an environmental experience program led by the local NGO "Marine Megafauna Conservation Organisation Mauritius" (MMCO) (Note 1), a recipient of a grant from the MOL Charitable Trust ("the Trust") (Note 2), and Mr. Goro Yamashita, Managing Director of MOL (Mauritius) Ltd., who also serves as Chairman of the Trust's Enforcers Committee, was on hand for the event.

The program, called the "Explore Discover Understand Conserve (EDUC) Project," was conducted by MMCO with the aim of enabling participants to experience the beauty of marine ecosystems through scuba diving, whale and dolphin watching, and a marine biodiversity course, and reaffirming the importance of environmental conservation.
About 60 students selected from about 200 local applicants participated in the program, and all of them completed the entire course. The participants received their certificates at the completion ceremony, which was held at the Preskil Island Resort in Mahebourg, southeast Mauritius.

Through the Trust, MOL will continue to disseminate knowledge about life below water and provide support for the promotion of activities to conserve and protect the marine environment around Mauritius.
