MOL Mauritius International Fund Held the 3rd Year Project Outcome Session 2025
On June 18, MOL Mauritius International Fund for Natural Environment Recovery and Sustainability (the "Fund") held an online meeting to report the outcome of the projects implemented in the Republic of Mauritius. At the beginning of the meeting, the chairperson, Ms. Mariko Kawaguchi emphasized that in the face of increasing global instability, strengthening the sustainability and resilience of local communities is becoming ever more important for building a stable future. She highlighted the significance of supporting local leaders in Mauritius who are working to conserve the natural environment and address social challenges through the Fund.
During the session, out of the 14 organizations that received grants last fiscal year, three presented their activities. From the environmental projects, the current status of mangrove ecosystems and conservation efforts were shared. From the social development projects, initiatives promoting organic farming and supporting small-scale farmers, as well as the outcomes of a green entrepreneurship education program for youth, were presented.
Video recordings of the 3rd Year project outcome session and reports by the organizations are available on the Fund's website. Please find below the YouTube link to the video.
MOL will continue to report on a broad range of environmental restoration and conservation activities and social contribution activities supported by the Fund.
