MOL Charitable Trust makes its fifth call for proposals
The MOL Charitable Trust ("the Trust") (Note 1), established in Mauritius in June 2021, has made its fifth call for proposals with a deadline of Friday, September 29, 2025. The Trust was established with the goal of supporting social and environmental projects in line with the intent of the Trust, focusing on activities in the southeast of Mauritius.
Since its establishment, the Trust has made four calls for projects and provided support for over 60 social and environmental projects. In this fifth call for proposals, projects throughout the island are also eligible for funding, while the main focus is on projects in the southeastern part of the island.
The Trust will provide up to 1 million Mauritian rupees per year per selected project. NPOs operating the grant recipient projects will be obliged to contribute to the restoration and protection of the natural environment, also to the growth and development of local communities and civic life in Mauritius in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
MOL commits to support activities towards the restoration and protection of the natural environment and local communities in Mauritius through the Trust.
Grant recipient projects will be selected after undergoing a screening process established by the Trust's Enforcers Committee. For more information on the third call for proposals, please refer to the following.
