MOL Group Hosts First Pure Car and Truck Carrier Tour in Mauritius

On Tuesday, September 2, 2025, MOL (Mauritius) Ltd and local agent IBL Shipping Ltd. hosted the first-ever tour of Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) Group's Pure Car and Truck Carrier (PCTC) in Mauritius. The event was held in conjunction with the call of the PCTC "CATTLEYA ACE" at Port Louis, the capital of Mauritius.

The ceremony took place in the presence of Dr. the Hon. Arvin Boolell, GOSK, Minister of Agro-Industry, Food Security, Blue Economy and Fisheries, and Hon. Dhananjay Ramful, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade, as well as other government representatives and prominent figures from the private sector, including Mr. Arnaud Lagesse, CEO of IBL Group Ltd. In addition, 13 young participants from the NGO Kolektif Rivier Nwar (KRN) (Note 1)-supported by the MOL Charitable Trust (Note 2) also joined the tour as part of their skipper training program, designed to equip them with the knowledge, skills, and judgment required to operate small vessels and yachts.

During this port call, approximately 400 vehicles manufactured in Japan and Asia were unloaded, while about 50 vehicles destined for other African markets were loaded. Participants toured the holds where vehicles were stowed and listened to explanations from the captain on the bridge, deepening their understanding of Port Louis' role as a transshipment hub in the Indian Ocean.

MOL will continue to nurture friendly relations with Mauritius through its subsidiary MOL Mauritius Ltd, contributing to further development of individuals, organizations and communities in the country.
