MOL Charitable Trust makes its second call for proposals
MOL Charitable Trust ("the Trust") (Note 1), established in Mauritius in June 2021, has made its second call for proposals for the period from September 2 to Septemeber 26, 2022. The Trust was established with the goal of supporting social and environmental projects in line with the intent of the Trust, focusing on activities in southeast Mauritius.
In the second call for proposals, preference will be given to projects in the southeast Mauritius, as in the first call for proposals held last September (Note 2), but projects throughout the island will also be newly eligible for funding.
The Trust will provide a total of approximately 20 million Mauritian rupee for the second call, on the basis of a maximum of 1 million Mauritian rupee per year for each selected project. NPOs operating the selected projects will be obliged to support not only the restoration and protection of the natural environment, but also the growth and development of local communities and civic life in Mauritius and the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
MOL will continue to expand the circle of support through the Trust to contribute to the restoration and protection of the natural environment and local communities in Mauritius.
Grant recipient projects will be selected after undergoing a screening process established by the Trust's Enforcers Committee. For more information on the call for proposals, please refer to the following.
