MOL Mauritius International Fund for Natural Environment Recovery and Sustainability funding for FY2023 Projects

The "MOL Mauritius International Fund for Natural Environment Recovery and Sustainability" (the Fund) (Note 1), an authorized public trust, completed the selection of new projects to be funded at the steering committee meeting in March 2023, and at the end of the same month, it started the disbursement of grants.
In this second year's call for grant-funded projects for Mauritius, as in the previous year, organizations in Mauritius and research institutions in Japan submitted applications for many high-quality projects. After a fair and objective evaluation by the Fund steering committee, three projects were selected in the "local community contribution" category. In addition to, of the 11 projects selected in FY2021, 10 projects, with durations from two to five years, were also approved for a second year of funding.
MOL will continue its support activities through the Fund to contribute to the restoration and protection of the natural environment and local communities in Mauritius.
