The world's most extensive liner network
The world liner network
MOL's network of liner routes covers the entire world. It expands every year. We take particular pride in our leading coverage of ports in Asia, South America, and Africa, regions have grown significantly in recent years. MOL meets diversified customer needs in these regions with more port calls than any other shipping company. Our top-quality, a wide variety of transport service also serves Russia and Australia as well as the Middle East.
To better serve ports in the Pacific, Atlantic, and Asia/Europe, we formed The New World Alliance (TNWA) with APL of Singapore and Hyundai Merchant Marine of South Korea. In 1995, MOL played a leading role in creating TNWA, the world's first strategic liner alliance. We are always moving to expand our network and lead the industry.
Containership fleet supports vast route coverage
We serve this huge network with a containership fleet of about 100 vessels, ranging in size from 450 TEUs to 8,100 TEUs. We continue to proactively launch environment-friendly, state-of-the-art vessels to provide more efficient, more competitive services to customers all over the world.

Owned and operated terminals lay the groundwork for speedy door-to-door service
MOL container terminals serve as the contact point linking ocean shipping and inland transport. Our advanced terminals are engaged in loading and unloading operations day and night, 24/7, supporting MOL's speedy door-to-door service. We operate seven of our own terminals in Japan and overseas: Tokyo, Yokohama, Osaka, Kobe, Laem Chabang, Los Angeles, Oakland, and Jacksonville, Florida, which is our newest facility. The Jacksonville terminal opened in January 2009 and is our third serving the North American market. What's more, the company is moving ahead with participation in the Vietnamese government's container terminal project in Cai Mep, and in February 2009, signed a contract to establish a joint terminal operation company there. MOL continues to expand and enhance its container network to offer more efficient, higher quality services.
