MOL Launches New China-India Container Service
-- Upgrades to four weekly sailings between Nhava Sheva and Singapore --

TOKYO-Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL; President: Akimitsu Ashida) today announced the launch of a new service linking Shanghai and Nhava Sheva to meet expanding cargo traffic to and from China and India. Called the Nhava Sheva/Straits/China (NSC) service, it will use five containerships under a space charter agreement with Jakarta-based Samdera Shipping Line.

Along with existing services, NSC will allow MOL to offer the four services linking Nhava Sheva and Singapore, and ensure more reliable connections to Asia, North America, Oceania, and other markets via Singapore.
