MOL Opens Representative Offices in India
for Bulk Carrier Business |

TOKYO - Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL, President: Akimitsu Ashida) today
announced the opening of representative offices in the Indian cities of
Mumbai and Chennai to reinforce its rapidly growing car carrier business
and take advantage of new opportunities in resource and energy transport.

Objectives
India is emerging as an export center for automobiles and a key market
with growing opportunities in the transport of completed cars and resources.
To build MOL's sales capabilities in India, MOL will open representative
offices focusing on car carrier and bulk carrier operations. The Mumbai
office will serve the west coast, and the Chennai office will cover the
east coast.
MOL will maintain cooperative relationships with Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (India)
Pvt. Ltd. through both representative offices, and starts preparation for
export of completed cars, support for the development of an export infrastructure,
sales support in both car carrier and resource transport, and information
gathering.
