TOKYO - Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL, President: Akimitsu Ashida) today
announced to start calling at Hibiki Port (Kita-Kyushu) in its Japan-Thailand
route named "CBW", which links West Japan and South Korea, the
Philippines, and Thailand.
Hibiki Port opened in April 2005 in the Kita-Kyushu area, where is a hub
of industries including automobiles, chemicals, and electronics.
MOL is the first Japanese shipping company to call at this port, and will
offer the convenient and effective service for customers in this growing
market. MOL continues its strategy to expand services one after another
to meet tremendous growth in demand for containerized cargo transport to
and from Asia, as well as intra-Asia shipping.
