TOKYO-Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL; President & CEO: Takeshi Hashimoto) today announced that it will sponsor an exhibit booth presenting its global human resource business at "Sustainable Brands 2022 Yokohama," which will be held at PACIFICO Yokohama North (and online) on Thursday, February 24, and Friday the 25th.
MOL and its long-term partner in the ocean shipping business, the Magsaysay Group, established a global human resource consulting company in the Philippines, MM Empower Corp., along with Magsaysay People Resources Corporation, Inc. (MPRC) (Note 1) in August 2020.
To address a social issue-a serious shortage of workers in Japan's domestic industries including the MOL Group and its customers, MOL will maximize its experience and expertise accumulated in seafarer education and contribute to the sustainable growth and development of both Japan and the Philippines and societies by connecting workers and host companies beyond national borders. At the same time, MOL will draw upon its extensive network in the Philippines, the world's largest human resources supply nation.
Japanese companies' needs to hire overseas employees, a move that can have significant impact on achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs,) have been growing. MOL looks forward to requests, inquiries and opinions from visitors to the exhibit, and guests are welcome to drop by the booth.
For information about the exhibit how to participate online, as well as paid pre-registration, please refer to the Sustainable Brand 2022 Yokohama official website.
