3 MOL Group-managed Vessels Recognized by Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and Meteorological Agency (2022)
Three vessels, managed by its group companies MOL LNG Transport Co., Ltd. and MOL Ship Management Co., Ltd., received the Ministry Award(*1) from Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Ministry and the Director-General Award (*2) from the Japan Meteorological Agency for their significant contribution to development of meteorological service by observation and reporting of weather and sea conditions. The award recognizes vessels that have received the Meteorological Agency's Director-General Award, met the standards of the Award, and showed outstanding performance in submitting many reports.

This award honors vessels that have continually observed weather for more than five years, and submitted more than 100 reports every year and more than 500 reports in total for the most recent two years.
2 MOL-operated Vessels Earn 2021 'Best Quality Ship Awards'
The Japan Federation of Pilots' Association (JFPA) has presented its Best Quality Ship Award for fiscal year (FY) 2021 to two MOL-operated vessels-the LNG carrier LNG SATURN and the bulk carrier TAIYO.

Two MOL operated vessels, the LNG carrier Energy Advance and the crude oil tanker Kashimasan, received the Japan Meteorological Agency's Director-General Award for their ongoing efforts to observe and report maritime weather data.

LNG-fueled Ishin, Sunflower Kurenai and Sunflower Murasaki Earn Top Energy Conservation Rating for Japanese Coastal Ships (2020)
Three MOL Group vessels-the LNG-fueled tugboat Ishin and the ferries Sunflower Kurenai and Sunflower Murasaki have earned the top rating of five stars from the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's energy conservation rating system for coastal ships. The rating is based on LNG-fueled ships environmental performance, specifically a reduction of more than 20% in emissions of CO2 compared to vessels powered by conventional heavy oil.

MOL has been selected to the list of "Nadeshiko Brands" for the third consecutive year under a joint initiative by Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TES) to promote women's success in the workplace.

The engine control console installed on the bridge of the Kinkasan Maru (*1) was selected for a "Ship Heritage Certificate" from the Japan Society of Naval Architects and Ocean Engineers (JASNAOE). (*1) The world's first automated ship that centrally controls the main engine from the bridge
