"MOL Safety Campaign 2024" aims to ensure the world's highest level of safety and quality

February 05, 2025

TOKYO-Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL; President & CEO: Takeshi Hashimoto; Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo) today announced that it held the MOL Safety Campaign from August to December 2024.

"MOL Safety Campaign" is an annual initiative aimed at fostering a culture of safety which involves discussions between crew members serving on MOL group-operated vessels and our onshore executives and employees about safety initiatives. This year, following last year's campaign, we adopted "MY GOAL, ZERO HARM" as the campaign theme, with the primary objective of eliminating work-related accidents.

By the means of the campaign, not only the safety awareness of the crew working onboard was enhanced, but in accordance with the "S (Safety)" in our Group Values, "MOL CHARTS", our land-based executives and employees also deepened their understanding of the importance of "safety" to reaffirm that themselves are responsible for safety by learning and deepening their understanding of onboard operations. Through this initiative, all participants renewed their commitment to ensure the world's highest level of safety and quality.

In January 2024, MOL Group established the 'MOL Group Safety Vision', a framework that systematizes our group's approach to safety, and Safety Action 1.0 (Action Plan) as a practical initiative to realize this vision. Within Safety Action 1.0, this campaign is part of the initiative to "Reform safety awareness through mutual enlightenment".

As a responsible custodian of a social infrastructure business, the Group shall continue to support people's day-to-day fundamentals as part of its safety-focused operations.
