Four new services - Greater Service Frequency - Extra port calls
April 03, 2006
Singapore, Seoul, Tokyo, 3 April 2006 -- The New World Alliance (TNWA) today announced improvements to its services between Asia and Europe with the addition of four new services. The TNWA is the consortium of ocean carriers APL, Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM), and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL), which together provide service to more than 40 ports using 100+ containerships in the major East-West container trades: Trans-Pacific, Trans-Atlantic, and Asia-Europe.
In the Asia-Europe trade, the previously announced cooperation with the Grand Alliance adds four new services, providing greater service frequency, additional port calls at Le Havre, and more coverage of Mediterranean ports. The TNWA will utilise four Asia-Europe services of the Grand Alliance starting in March, and the Grand Alliance will utilise three TNWA Asia-Europe services.
