MOL Signs Coal Transport Deal with Thermal Powertech Corporation India Limited

TOKYO-Mitsui O.S.K .Lines Ltd. (MOL; President & CEO: Junichiro Ikeda) today announced that it held a signing ceremony for a coal transport contract with Thermal Powertech Corporation India Limited (TPCIL; CEO : Vipul Tuli; Corporate Office: Hyderabad, India).

Thermal Powertech Corporation India Limited (TPCIL) owns and operates a 1,320-megawatt thermal power plant in SPSR Nellore district in India's Andhra Pradesh state. TPCIL is owned by Sembcorp Industries, a leading energy, water and marine group based in Singapore, and Gayatri Projects Limited, one of India's leading infrastructure development company. TPCIL is supplying electricity to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States. MOL's ocean shipping services will support the project by providing a stable supply of coal.
