MOL has formulated MOL Group Environmental Vision 2.1 and is pursuing environmentally friendly initiatives in line with five strategies, including the adoption of clean alternative fuels. As the only shipping company that participated in the discussions of the "Mission Possible Partnership," a public-private partnership aimed at decarbonizing industries, in which the World Economic Forum participated in September of this year, and as a result of early endorsement of its proposal "Making Net-Zero Ammonia Possible" (Note 2), MOL was invited to the Ammonia Energy Conference 2022.

MOL strives to ensure "a prosperous future from the blue oceans" by contributing to the sustainable development of people, society, and the earth for the sake of all life in the next generation.

(Note 1) Established in 2004, the Ammonia Energy Association is an organization working to promote the use of ammonia as a clean energy source as a step toward a sustainable society. The business scope of the member companies and organizations covers the entire ammonia energy value chain, from ammonia production, safety regulations, distribution, trading, transport, storage, and utilization. As of the end of October 2022, its membership totaled more than 165 companies and organizations, including engineering companies, energy majors, shipping companies, electric power and gas utilities, fertilizer manufacturers, chemical manufacturers, and project development companies aiming to produce ammonia fuel in the future, as well as MOL.
