MOL has decided to participate in the Corporate Program (Note) of the Japan Association for the World Food Programme (JAWFP), a certified NPO supporting WFP in Japan, as a "Contributor" for three years starting from March 2023.

MOL has developed its business as a social infrastructure corporate group centered on the ocean shipping industry, under the corporate mission, "From the blue oceans, we sustain people's lives and ensure a prosperous future." The company also sets one of its sustainability issues (materiality), "Human & Community -Contributing to the growth and development of people and communities-," aiming to coexist in harmony with all of the group's various stakeholders and promote the sustainable growth and development of local communities.
