TOKYO-Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL; President & CEO: Takeshi Hashimoto) on Wednesday, August 28, offered the media and the public a preview of its exhibit at the Future Society Showcase projects (Note 1), part of the "Future Life Expo: "Future City" at the 2025 World Exposition ("Expo 2025 Osaka,Kansai, Japan").
In the "Transportation and Mobility" zone of the "Future Society Showcase" pavilion, MOL will exhibit its next-generation zero-emission vessel "Wind Hunter" (Note 2), which produces and transports hydrogen by capturing wind, the ultimate natural energy source, under the exhibition concept of "WIND VISION." Combining the large, movable model with an original video on a large screen, it expresses the "wind," the movement generated by the vessel that underlies everyday life, industry, energy, and social change.
[Perspective image] The actual exhibition will show the latest Wind Hunter model with greater realism.
The exhibition is composed of a visitor-participation type experience, various videos, and special effects, in cooperation with Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. (Note 3) Through hands-on exhibits unique to the Expo, visitors will experience the possibilities of new mobility that overturn conventional concepts and common sense of "vessel" and "marine transport," and it will draw visitors' interest in the oceans and the global environment as a whole and provide an opportunity to co-create the future.

* Dates: Sunday, April 13, 2025 – Monday/Holiday, October 13, 2025
* Exhibit Zone: "Future Society Showcase" pavilion, the "Transportation and Mobility" zone

* Exhibition content
(1) "Wind Vision attraction": A model of the Wind Hunter more than 3m in length x 2m in height is placed, and the sails expand, contract, and rotate according to the wind generated by visitors facing the model. This is a visitor-participation attraction that allows visitors to learn about the mechanism of using the wind to navigate, produce, and supply hydrogen in a fun and intuitive way by linking images on a large screen with the model.
(2) Various original videos: Five themed videos will be aired on a large screen, each with a completely different direction. These videos will provide easy-to-understand information on the current and future roles of vessels in marine transport, and the evolution and possibilities of people and vessels.
(3) Collaboration with Kawasaki Heavy Industries: Several times a day, special presentations will be held using the Kawasaki Heavy Industries and MOL exhibition areas and screens in an integrated manner. These will show how hydrogen produced and transported by the Wind Hunter is supplied to and used by Kawasaki Heavy Industries' hydrogen mobility. Visitors can experience the dynamic hydrogen supply chain depicted by the two companies through powerful visuals and staging.
* Contents of the exhibition are subject to change without notice.
In August 2023, the MOL Group announced its sponsorship of the Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai.
