May 31, 2022

TOKYO-Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL; President & CEO: Takeshi Hashimoto) today announced that on May 23, it received a letter of appreciation from Kobe City, recognizing the company's significant, long-term contributions to Kobe's growth as the city overcame war damage and a disastrous earthquake since the completion of the MOL-owned Kobe Shosen Mitsui Building (the Kobe Building) in Chuo Ward. The Mayor of Kobe, Kizo Hisamoto, presented the letter in the ceremony at the Kobe Building.

In April 2022, the Kobe Building marked the centennial anniversary of its completion. MOL celebrates this 100 years of the building's history, continually playing a role in the city's growth, as it moves ahead in port cities in Japan and around the world.
