MOL to Exhibit at Good Design Exhibition 2023 in Tokyo from Oct. 25-29

October 13, 2023

TOKYO-Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL; President & CEO: Takeshi Hashimoto) today announced that it will team up with its group company MOL Sunflower Ltd. (President & CEO: Hirotoshi Ushioku; Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) to exhibit at the Good Design Exhibition 2023 (October 25-29, 2023) to be held at Tokyo Midtown (Roppongi), which will showcase Good Design Award 2023 winners.

MOL and MOL Sunflower will provide a detailed look at Japan's first LNG-fueled ferries, the Sunflower Kurenai and the Sunflower Murasaki (owned by MOL and operated by MOL Sunflower), which won the Good Design Award 2023 (Note 1), with display panels that were also used in the judging process. This exhibition will be the first event in four years to display all the award-winning works, and will showcase not only the Sunflower series ferries, but also good design in various genres, and everyone is welcome.

Winning the Good Design Award 2023 will help the MOL Group's ferry business accelerate the popularity of its "Casual Cruise Concept" (Note 2). The group will contribute to improving the wellbeing of customers by offering a comfortable cruise experience that allows them to feel "bonding," "peace of mind," and "confidence" with their family, friends, pets, colleagues, acquaintances, and others along for the trip.
