Social Contribution through Food MOL Employee Cafeteria's Donation-based Menu Supports 3,117 School Lunches

June 13, 2025

TOKYO-Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL; President & CEO: Takeshi Hashimoto) today announced its endorsement of the activities of the non-profit organization TABLE FOR TWO International (TFT) (Note) to provide school lunches to children in Africa and Asia, and added the "MOL Salad" in the donation-based menu at the company's employee cafeteria "Rhine Toranomon" (operated by MOL Kosan Co., Ltd. (President: Takashi Nakajima; Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo)). When employees purchase this item, a portion of the proceeds is donated to provide one school lunch to a child in developing countries. During the months of April and May, this was a popular item with MOL Group executives and employees, making it possible to donate 3,117 school lunches for children in Asia, Africa, and other regions.

MOL has been participating in this activity since 2024, and recently added the "MOL salad," a healthy dish that has proven very popular among executives and employees, to the donation menu. Employee comments include, "I am glad that a dish I frequently order now makes a social contribution" and "I now feel more familiar with our social contribution activities".
BLUE ACTION for ALL: MOL is implementing "BLUE ACTION MOL," a sustainable action plan that balances corporate growth with a sustainable society, and the addition of the words "for ALL," reflects the group's commitment to social contribution activities that address Local Community Challenges.
MOL will continue to provide the donation menu as a social contribution activity in which employees can easily participate, and will continue to support children in developing countries.

(Note) Established in October 2007 under the concept of sharing meals between people in developed countries and children in developing countries. When someone purchases a TFT menu at their company's employee cafeteria or store, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to provide one school lunch to a child in the developing world who is suffering from hunger. Approximately 700 organizations, including companies, government agencies, universities, and hospitals, participate in the TFT program, providing school lunches, mainly in East and Southeast Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Uganda, as well as the Philippines). TFT also supports vegetable gardening and agricultural productivity improvement programs. The cumulative number of lunches served in the support program has topped 110 million.

"BLUE ACTION MOL" is a general term for the Sustainable Action by MOL Group that balance corporate growth and a sustainable society. We have incorporated the intention "for ALL" to promote social contribution activities as a group for all environments and creatures on earth into this word and have set MOL Group's social contribution activities as "BLUE ACTION for ALL", as the group's social contribution activities to promote activities based on priority areas.
