(MOL; President & CEO: Jotaro Tamura; Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo) today announced that on October 27, it held the FY2026 Safe Operations Liaison Meeting in Osaka for Japanese and overseas shipowners and ship management companies. 115 participants from 62 companies attended the meeting, sharing practical insights, including their respective safety initiatives, response measures and decision-making process under the operational issues, and exchanging views on the continuous enhancement of safety standards.

At FY2026 Safe Operation Liaison Meeting

This year's event was expanded from the traditional lecture-style presentation to a more interactive, participant-centered approach format that encouraged more active participation by attendees. Under the slogan "My Safety, Your Safety, Everyone's Safety," participating shipowners, ship management companies, and MOL shared experiences and insights from their respective perspectives, aiming to learn from one another.

At the MOL Safety Circle Award 2026 presentation ceremony

As part of the program, MOL also held a "Safety Measures Sharing Session," during which shipowners and ship management companies presented their own safety initiatives. MOL presented the "MOL Safety Circle Award 2026" to the safety initiative that received the greatest support in a participant vote. The session provided an opportunity to expand the "Safety Circle" beyond company and organizational boundaries.

Through these activities, MOL will continue working toward achieving the world's highest level of safety and quality and expanding its business in a sustainable manner.
