Tree Planting Initiative by MOL Group companies in Indonesia

PT MOL Indonesia, MOL group company of Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL; President & CEO: Takeshi Hashimoto), held a tree-planting event in Indonesia as part of the BLUE ACTION for ALL Campaign- a joint effort to contribute to society.
The event was took place at Masigit Kareumbi Hunting Park, West Java Province by 22 participants. As part of this initiative, they aims to contribute to environmental conservation by planting 100 seedlings of three native plant species. (Note 1)
The activity began with an awareness session on the climate crisis and how each of us can help reduce its impact. This was followed by the symbolic planting of 22 endemic seedlings, with the remaining 88 seedlings to be planted during the upcoming planting season to support reforestation efforts in degraded areas.
The event concluded with a forest walking tour, offering participants a direct experience in nature and fostering a deeper appreciation for forest conservation. Through this tree-planting event, the saplings are expected to contribute to maintaining the climate balance, including environmental conservation, improvement of biodiversity, ecosystem restoration, and absorption of carbon in the area.

MOL Group will work as one to raise the environmental awareness of each employee and promote environmental conservation activities.
