TOKYO-Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL; President & CEO: Takeshi Hashimoto) today announced that on December 1, the MOL Group's seafarer manning company in India, MOL Maritime (India) Pvt. Ltd.(*1) (MOLMI; Managing Director: Satish Kumar Singh) held a ceremony to mark the 30th anniversary of its founding. MOL Senior Managing Executive Officer Mitsuhisa Tanimoto and executives from several MOL Group ship management companies attended the Anniversary Ceremony.

MOLMI has expanded beyond traditional seafarer manning services to include training at its own training center and ship inspection operations, positioning itself as a comprehensive maritime solutions provider. Notably, MOLMI has been a pioneer in training seafarers to operate vessels powered by alternative fuels, contributing significantly to MOL Group's efforts to secure and develop highly skilled global maritime experts.

Today, more than 100 global maritime experts from MOLMI serve across MOL and its group companies, and MOLMI also supplies specialized talent for onshore roles.

The ceremony featured a video presentation highlighting MOLMI's 30-year journey, followed by messages of appreciation from MOL Headquarters and ship management companies and partners worldwide. Awards were presented to seafarers and onshore employees, and MOLMI staff organized cultural performances to mark the occasion.

MOL President & CEO Takeshi Hashimoto delivered a video message expressing gratitude for MOLMI's contributions to safe operations over the past three decades. He emphasized the importance of continuing to supply exceptional seafarers and onshore talent as a leader in the rapidly evolving maritime industry.

In addition to its commitment to human resource development, MOL positions Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) as a "new driver of growth." In October, 20 women seafarers from MOLMI and other in-house Maritime Resources Centers participated in the Maritime SheEO Conference 2025, an international event held in Mumbai to promote women's empowerment in the maritime sector. MOL continues to foster an inclusive environment where all seafarers can work with confidence and peace of mind.

Looking ahead, the MOL Group will continue initiatives in India and other major seafarer-supplying countries to express appreciation to seafarers working away from their families and the onshore employees who support them. Through these efforts, MOL aims to foster strong ties with local communities with local communities, contribute to sustainable regional development, strengthen its safety culture, and secure and develop world-class maritime talent.
