Bringing Silicon Valley Insights to 120 High School Students
- Exploring the Latest Developments in Shipping and Innovation -

The Silicon Valley Office of MOL (Americas) LLC, the U.S. subsidiary of Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL; President & CEO: Jotaro Tamura; Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo), visited Josho Keiko Gakuen High School in Hirakata, Osaka Prefecture, and gave a lecture to approximately 120 high school students as part of the school's career education program.

In the lecture, three members from the Silicon Valley Office served as speakers and introduced the MOL Group's business overview, along with the role of the shipping industry in supporting global logistics. They also explained MOL's open innovation initiatives, including collaboration with startups and investment activities in Silicon Valley, and touched on the latest trends in advanced technologies such as AI.

The speakers shared with the students the importance of viewing social issues and industrial changes from a global perspective, and conveyed the wide range of career possibilities available to them. We hope this lecture will help the students deepen their understanding of society and industry, and provide an opportunity for them to think about their future paths and career choices.
