MOL (Europe Africa) Ltd. renews its corporate membership with Royal Museums Greenwich

September 5, 2025

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (President: Takeshi Hashimoto, Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter "MOL") announced that its group company MOL (Europe Africa) Ltd. (hereinafter "MOLEA") has renewed its corporate partnership with Royal Museums Greenwich (hereinafter "RMG," Note 1) which was initially finalized in August 2024. MOLEA became the first Japanese shipping company to conclude such an agreement, with the aim of enhancing the MOL Group's presence among maritime stakeholders and local communities in the United Kingdom.

Through this corporate partnership, MOLEA will work together with RMG to strengthen ties with local communities while promoting initiatives to convey the appeal and importance of the shipping industry to the next generation. The partnership with RMG will also provide MOL Group's employees with opportunities to learn about maritime history, deepen their understanding, and foster engagements with a wide range of maritime stakeholders in and around London.

As part of its previous initiatives with RMG, MOL Group employees in London participated in RMG's first ever "Careers Day," which introduced the maritime sector to local students in the area. At this event, they engaged with approximately 300 students from schools across the city, introducing MOL's business activities and career options within the shipping industry.

In addition, MOL Group employees took part in a social contribution activity by applying gold leaf (gilding) to ceiling panels for a room used by school children at one of the RMG facilities. Furthermore, MOLEA's London office invited an RMG expert to give a lecture for employees on the evolution of ship design.

The partnership with RMG not only offers MOL Group employees opportunities to participate in social contribution activities and to learn about the richness of the UK's maritime heritage but also contributes to strengthening employee engagement.

Through its partnership with RMG, MOLEA will continue contributing to the transmission of maritime culture to the next generation in the UK, sharing MOL's role in sustaining global logistics 24/7 as well as its initiatives toward a sustainable future, and carrying forward efforts to "sustain people's lives and ensure a prosperous future from the blue oceans."
