MOL Earns 'Silver' Rating in 'PRIDE Index 2025' for LGBTQ+ Initiatives

November 17, 2025

TOKYO-Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL; President & CEO: Takeshi Hashimoto) today announced that on November 14, it received the "Silver" rating in the "PRIDE Index 2025" (Note 1) for initiatives on LGBTQ+ and other sexual minorities.

The MOL Group set forth diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) as one of the basic principles of its "MOL Group Human Capital Vision," which represents its fundamental approach to human resources policy. As part of this initiative, the group provides seminars for all employees to promote understanding of LGBTQ+ issues, conducts internal awareness activities in connection with Pride Month, and distributes stickers to employees declaring themselves as allies. In 2025, the group expanded its initiatives to include donations to LGBTQ+ organizations and participation in events involving external partners. As a result, it met four out of five evaluation criteria and received the "Silver" rating in the "PRIDE Index 2025."

The MOL Group will continue to create a workplace environment and organizational climate in which all employees can maximize their enthusiasm and vitality and combine their diverse personalities and abilities.

(Note 1) About the PRIDE Index
The PRIDE Index was developed by Work with Pride with the aim of "creating LGBTQ+-friendly workplaces in Japan that transcend the frameworks of companies and organizations." In this program, launched in FY2016, companies and other organizations are invited to submit details of their LGBTQ+-related initiatives each year, and awards are presented to those ranking the highest. The PRIDE Index consists of the following five indicators, and awards are given as "Gold," "Silver," or "Bronze" depending on the number of items within each indicator that meet the specified criteria.
1. Policy (Declaration of Action), 2. Representation (community of parties), 3. Inspiration (awareness-raising activities), 4. Development (personnel system and programs), 5. Engagement/Empowerment (social contribution and public relations activities)
