MOL BLUE Ocean Fund

Under its corporate Mission, "From the blue oceans, we sustain people's lives and ensure a prosperous future," the MOL Group places great importance on proactively addressing social challenges. With the aim of expanding initiatives beyond the scope of its existing businesses to help build a better society and create new value, the MOL BLUE Ocean Fund was established.

Purpose of the Fund

In regions closely connected to the MOL Group's business activities, the Fund focuses on three priority areas of the MOL Group's social contribution activities: Marine Environment, Next Generation Human Resource Development, and Addressing Local Community Challenges. This initiative represents one of the activities that embody the MOL Group's corporate mission and contributes to the sound and sustainable development of society toward the future

Origin of the Fund

From the Experience in Mauritius to the World-and Toward the Future

The establishment of the Fund was inspired by the environmental conservation and community support activities that the MOL Group has continued since the incident involving a MOL-chartered vessel in Mauritius in 2020. Through these support, we gained specialized knowledge on the ground and built deep bonds with local communities—an experience that became an important opportunity for us to reflect on how we walk alongside society.
The Fund was created as a "platform that connects aspirations," with the aim of expanding the experiences cultivated in Mauritius to oceans and communities around the world and transforming them into lasting and tangible value. From the route that began in Mauritius, we will extend our journey further—connecting it to a broader future.
